What is collected
Theme preference
Choosing light or dark writes pdh-theme to your browser’s local storage. It is read only by this site, is never transmitted, and clearing site data removes it. Leaving the setting on “system” writes nothing at all.
Request logs
Cloudflare, which serves this site, processes standard request metadata — IP address, user agent, URL, timestamp — to route and protect traffic. This is inherent to serving a website over the internet.
Aggregate page metrics
Page type and render time are recorded in aggregate to find slow pages and to order search results by popularity. These carry no identifier that could be traced to a person, and no cookie is set for them.
What is not collected
- No accounts, so no names, emails or passwords.
- No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- No third-party analytics script.
- No fingerprinting, and no profile built from your reading.
The data on the pages
Everything published here is already public government data about institutions — hospitals, agencies, geographies. It is not about you.
Where a source contains information about individuals, it is not ingested. The federal NPI registry, for instance, has around eight million records naming individual clinicians with their practice addresses; it is used only to reconcile organisation identifiers, and no page is created for a person.
